Dr. Eran Treister

Assistant professor
Colloquia & seminars chair

Research: My research field is computational science. I am interested in developing efficient numerical solution methods for various large scale mathematical problems. The problems that I consider arise from diverse fields such as machine learning, imaging sciences, physics and geophysics. These problems are usually formulated as optimization problems for estimating or learning model parameters from given settings and data samples. My work deals with the development of both the algorithms and the parallel/distributed software for solving the problems at hand.
